Best Dental, Hearing, And Vision Plan

Best Dental, Hearing, And Vision Plan

As a certified Medicare Insurance Agent, we are asked on a regular basis, what dental, hearing, and vision plan is best.

Until recently, we recommended for most individuals to simply self insure meaning – pay cash.

This is due to one simple fact, most people have good teeth and eyesight.

By paying cash you will typically win the insurance game.  This is because dental premiums, typically exceed your usual cost to get a cleaning.

It is not until you need something major, that the dental coverage starts to truly help out. Even then, it can be questionable.

Even when it starts to help, they typically require you to share in the cost of your major dental work from 30% to 80% of the total cost.

Most plans don’t include hearing aid coverage as part of their most comprehensive plan, so it didn’t make sense.

There is a new plan that came out a few years back, this plan changed our view on these coverages.

New Comprehensive Package Dental, Hearing, And Vision Plan

There is a new comprehensive plan that allows you to use all or some of your annual limit towards any three of these services.  In addition, it allows you to see any dentist, vision, and hearing doctor you would like.  This is the broadest PPO type of coverage you can find.

If you decide to use a network dentist, then you could save more money on your dental procedure.

We also recommend, finding out if you can obtain additional savings if you pay with cash.  If your dentist will provide a discount, you can then submit the bill for reimbursement.  Depending on which discount is better, this can help in your decision making process.

You can also have the Dentist office submit for payment, directly to the insurance company.

It is important to review which payment option works best for your individual situation.  No two businesses are the same, and they can offer you different discounts.

This program provides you with the flexibility and freedom many people are looking for.

Your monthly premium is locked in for life, at the age you sign up for the program.  You will not face increases based on getting older.  However, if the insurance company increases their overall rates this will cause your premium to increase.

Need Help Enrolling Into The Dental, Hearing, And Vision Plan

Integrity Now Insurance Brokers, is here to help you with all of your insurance needs.  We love this plan as it give you the freedom to choose how to use your available funds depending on your needs for a particular year.

Most plans, only include Dental and maybe a vision plan bundle.  However, the vision plan most people will typically break even on cost.  There is typically no gain in the dental plan offered, and most individuals will end up paying more towards the premium and their share then they would if they just paid cash.

Lastly, hearing coverage that includes hearing aids seems to be almost non-existent.   Some Medicare Advantage plans will offer limited hearing aid coverage, but they can be very limited.

If you enroll into a Medigap plan as most medicare beneficiaries do, this plan is perfect for you.

We are here to help you enroll into this amazing plan option.  We can also assist you in other plan options if you so choose.
